With a portrait-length of 56mm f/1.4 DC DN, Sigma offers a sleek and elegant portrait prime lens. This lens is ideal for Sony mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensor sizes. It features an aperture of f/1.4, making it an excellent choice for working in low-light conditions and for performing selective focus techniques. For greater sharpness and clarity, two aspherical elements and one SLD element are included in the optical design. This helps to reduce both spherical and chromatic aberration for greater sharpness and clarity. In strong light conditions, a Super Multi-Layer Coating is also applied to suppress flare and ghosting. As a complement to the optics, the camera has a stepping AF motor, which is ideal for both photo and video applications due to its quick, precise, and nearly silent operation.
